SERVICE PROJECTS

The Spokane Christian Church Service Committee & the Spokane Chapter of Hope Worldwide are proud to love God through acts of service

Ways to Get Involved:

Adoption Recognition Month
November
Every Sunday during the month of November you can hear from adoptive families in the Spokane Christian Church congregation during the 10am worship service.

HOPE WW - Giving Tuesday
Tuesday, November
Every year HOPE Worldwide collects money specifically for volunteer corps. Registration for these trips open December 1!

Blanket Drive
Month of December
In leu of the swaddling cloths wrapped around Jesus at his birth, please bring new or gently used blankets, hats, gloves, or socks to Spokane Christian Church on Sundays or Wednesdays.  The items generously donated will be collected to hand out to the vulnerable community at the 12/30 City Gate.

City Gate
Saturday, December 30
Use the "Volunteer Hub" button to register to serve the vulnerable in our community a hot seated breakfast. Cooks need a food handlers' card and will arrive early to prepare the food. Servers will arrive approximately 30min prior to doors opening.

January - TBD

Pantry Pound
Sunday, February 4 - Sunday, February 11
Each year we take 7 days to eat from the abudance in our stores of food (freezers, cupboards, pantries, etc), spend little to no money. Then we give the money we normally would use in a week and give it to support 2nd Harvest - Spokane. During this week you will have the opportunity to GIVE on the APP for "Pantry Pound" or leave cash or check (Memo: Pantry Pound) in a marked envelope in the contribution collection box located in the back of the sanctuary.

Coat Drive
Sunday, March 24

In observance of Palm Sunday, we ask you bring new or gently used coats, jackets, or sweatshirts to Spokane Christian Church and lay them on the stage steps. The items generously donated will be collected to hand out to the vulnerable community at the 3/30 City Gate. Kid sizes will be donated to "coats for kids".
